Downtown Southern Gateway Project Coordination and Red Hat Amphitheater Relocation Updates and Next Steps
Report given by City Staff outlines multiple transportation and infrastructure projects in the Southern Corridor, including the construction of dedicated lanes for bus rapid transit, new stations, and enhanced connectivity between downtown Raleigh and surrounding areas. These projects aim to improve mobility and reduce congestion.
The Western Corridor is set to see significant developments with dedicated bus lanes and new transit stations connecting downtown Raleigh to Cary.
These projects are in various stages of planning and design, with construction contingent on federal funding.
Emphasis on extensive coordination among various city departments, private stakeholders, and community organizations to ensure the successful execution of these projects. This includes ongoing engagement with the public and other stakeholders to gather input and foster collaboration.
